OUR COMMITMENTS
We are committed to our program and environment.
We help children become active explorers and self-confident, independent and enthusiastic learners by stressing the process of learning and discovery through developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and secure environment. High Point Academy emphasizes the importance of caring for children in all areas of development: social/emotional, cognitive and physical.
In efforts to maintain our high-quality status as an educational institution, our programs are even accredited, which requires adherence to an additional level of standards.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion.
It is very important to the staff at HPA to understand, respect, and accept people who are different from us. We strive to create intentional and responsive anti-biased curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, provides multiple perspectives, and helps children learn to reject stereotypes. We will speak out about bias and prejudice when we encounter it and build an inclusive community where all feel welcomed and valued.

We are committed to our staff members.
We believe that the strength of our program is in the dedication of our teaching staff. We support our teachers with training, resources, and freedom to create a unique learning experience for children. We provide many opportunities for teachers to share ideas and grow professionally, so that they may create a caring and nurturing atmosphere and foster each child's creativity and positive self-image.

We are committed to communication.
One of the most important goals of our program is communication with parents. At the end of each day, preschool parents receive an electronic daily report via email and our daily reporting application. Elementary families will recieve, at minimum, weekly communications with teachers regarding classroom events, behavior, and any concerns. We also send out a newsletter and calendar each month to communicate with families about what is going on in the school and your child's classroom.
Students of all ages will also receive periodic report cards and/or progress reports, and have numerous opportunities for parent-teacher conferences throughout the academic year.
